Breakfast was so delicious. I decided to go back and try lunch.

Milk & Honey – 214 11th Ave, Nashville, TN

My husband is already at his conference so I’m on my own for lunch today. After a full morning at the Nashville Music Hall of Fame, I’m hungry.

A short walk from 5th to 11th on Demonbreun Street, down the steps and I’m in The Gulch and practically at the door step of Milk & Honey.

Due to the hour (2p on a Tuesday afternoon) they are not that busy. I’m seated at a small corner table.

The waitress is quick with an offer of a drink. I scan the menu while she is away and decide on the Rubi Chicken Sandwich.

The chicken is char grilled, but still moist and tender on the inside. Topped with whole milk mozzarella and pesto. The bottom of the (toasted) brioche bun holds a smear of whole grain honey mustard, a leaf of lettuce and a thick slice of tomato. Side choice: thick cut fries. Nice and crisp on the outside. Perfect choice for lunch but sadly no room for the delicious looking gelato at the counter.
