Surprising smooth and mild with a hint a sweet from the whiskey. … Alcohol free and wonderfully delicious. Expensive as all heck but worth every penny. It’s become my new weekend treat ever since we returned from Nashville.

Dinner at Merchants – Downtown Nashville, TN
Merchants – 401 Broadway, Nashville, TN
Step in the door and see an inviting room of black & white tile floors, white walls, exposed brick, black seated booths along with a few tables. The tables are thick swirled marble set with linen napkins and corked glass bottle of chilled water. All of which is flanked around a large fully stocked bar that also doubles as places to eat. The staff was friendly, from the hosts to the waiter. Speaking of waiters, they are smartly dressed in black pants, white buttoned down shirts with a black tie and, of course, a properly tied apron to pull the look together. This downstairs bistro has it all!

Sunny and bright with the tulips in full bloom. The perfect day to hit the Dane County Farmers Market.
The vendors are back and so are the people. Early spring offerings include ramps and radishes. Which I will turn into a delicious Monday “Breakfast for Dinner”. (See my Egg Tacos)

Guess life really took over and I stepped away from blogging. Funny thing is, I never stopped traveling and taking pictures I just stopped finding the time to post.
