Take a threat of a big April snowstorm …
Plus 1 Ripe Banana …
Equals a warm and delicious Banana Sandwich Loaf Bread!
Since Mother Nature decided to bring a snow storm in April, I decided to bake some bread in my bread maker. That is, after a quick run to the Farmer’s Market this morning with friends. As luck would have it we had perfect timing today. No rain, no snow just a chill in the air. We were able to make a quick ’round the square and enjoy a nice brunch at Monty’s Blue Plate Diner, just as the snow started to fall on our way home.
Market Info: Because of the threat of 3 to 8 inches of snow not many vendors came out. One farmer reported “Only 48 vendors today.” Since the market generally draws about 130+ each Saturday that’s a huge dip. Can’t say I blame them, especially the farmers that need to travel any great distance.
Fingers crossed we have gorgeous weather next weekend to make up for it.
The bread turned out great. Imagine a soft crusted buttermilk bread with a hint of banana. Before you even cut into it you get a whiff of banana.
Spread on some peanut butter for a quick breakfast or whip up a batch of french toast. Topped of course with slices of banana.
I chose peanut butter. So no pics of french toast today.

My girls gave me this cookbook with my bread machine several years ago. It’s the only one I use and I simply LOVE it!
